This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven and strategic individual to join an award-winning provider of brilliant group experiences. Through our brands, The Stag Company and Hen Heaven, we organise fantastic activity and accommodation packages across the UK and Europe for groups. We’re looking for a Front End Developer to join our Marketing team at our central Brighton office, where we’ve created a fast-paced but relaxed working environment.

Job Description:

For this Front End Developer role, you will have a solid knowledge of front-end coding and be responsible for developing our Hen Heaven ( and The Stag Company ( websites to a high standard, in order to create industry leading user experiences.

Key duties of the role include:

  • Develop the front end of the company’s websites to a high standard
  • Lead and assist with the implementation of company projects
  • Convert web designs into functioning pages
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary tools, strategies, theories and methods and implement suitable interpretation of these on an ongoing basis
  • Assume responsibility for cross browser development and testing
  • Monitor and improve website speed optimisation on an ongoing basis
  • Encourage the company to adopt latest front end technologies and create Best Practice frameworks
  • Turn photoshop files into functioning code
  • Create HTML marketing emails and campaign material
  • Assist the Marketing team in creating attention-grabbing campaigns and landing pages
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager, IT Director and back end developer to continually improve the online and digital customer experience
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business to gauge business needs and aid organisational development
Skills Range:
  • Javascript / jQuery / Ajax
  • HTML 5 and CCS / SCSS
  • Git / Version Control
  • Experience of a modern JS framework; Vue, React etc
  • Experience of using build tools such as Gulp, Yarn, Webpack or NPM advantageous
  • Knowledge of CSS frameworks including Bootstrap and Foundation
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven experience of implementing UX Best Practice
  • Proven experience of responsive / mobile-first design
  • Solid experience gained within a similar role in a high-performance environment
  • Proven experience of working in an open, inclusive and flexible manner
