The Commercial Applications Company Ltd was created six years ago with a vision to bring simple and effective web applications to the Education sector, Tunnelling Industry, Recruitment and the Online Card Payment industry.
Our aim is to invent new and intelligent technologies and we strive to keep things simple.
We have established strong relationships with our existing customers and to keep up with company’s recent growth and demand we are now looking for a 1st line support technician to help support our growing number of products and to take some of the workload away from our development team.

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic person to join our small, but growing team.  The job involves dealing with our customers on a daily basis, helping them to understand how our systems work and providing support and training where required.  The ideal candidate would be looking to move into web development so a basic understanding of HTML would be useful but not essential.

Key areas:

  • Provide 1st line phone and email product support (training on products will be provided)
  • Understand our products inside and out (training will be provided)
  • Perform product demonstrations and training using online video conferencing software
  • Occassional customer site visits (generally we don't go to customer sites but we do offer some on-site training)
  • General customer service and some sales support



Skills Range:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both on the telephone and face to face
  • Very IT literate and ability to learn fast
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office products
  • Highly organised and efficient with the ability to work independently and take the initiative
  • Some experience of HTML/Javascript/CSS but not essential
Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will be motivated, ambitious and show the desire and ability to work for a fast moving and exciting company and help to support and develop a diverse range of web based applications. Training will be provided where required.  The ability to work on your own is essential.

Salary: £17,000 - £22,000 pro rata
Attendance: Part-Time
