Work the World is an international educational travel organisation that specialises in arranging placements for healthcare students to Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Job Description:

This is the perfect role for an enthusiastic, driven individual who wants to develop their marketing career. You’ll get experience across a broad range of marketing channels, have ownership over your areas of responsibility and will work alongside the Marketing Manager supporting and executing marketing activity, such as content marketing, social media, email marketing campaigns, website development and digital PR.

Skills Range:
  • Assisting with producing high quality copy for all marketing channels
  • Editing and proofreading copy created by other marketing team members
  • Re-purposing copy for various worldwide markets ensuring unique content is consistently being delivered at a high standard
  • Assisting the Marketing Manager with all social media channel management
  • Monitor and report on all competitor activity
  • Co-ordinating email marketing activity
  • Supporting the team with implementing website updates, and content and asset refreshes within CMS platform
  • Supporting development of marketing assets and liaison with design team, including advertising (print & online), brochure management
  • Stay up to date with marketing trends and best practices
Person Specification:
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident in putting forward new creative ideas
  • The ability to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • Social media savvy - experience of overseeing social media platforms including developing and growing an audience, analysing data and identifying trends and opportunities
  • Experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, A/B testing, email optimisation
  • Experience of briefing and working with design teams
  • A good understanding of CMS platforms would be an advantage
  • A general understanding of SEO best practices would be an advantage
  • Must have previous relevant marketing experience
