As well as building an impressive client base we have formed a number effective partnerships with other digital agencies providing the technical resource they lack in house. In addition to this, with a number of specialist programming skills to our name, we also offer a technical consultancy service. We have a strong team of designers and developers led by co-founders Chris Palk (MD), Caroline Pickering (Creative Director) and Jamie Matthews (Technical Director).

Role: Part-time Finance/Office Manager

DabApps is a growing software development company based in the centre of Brighton. We design and build web and mobile applications that help out clients succeed. We are passionate about our values of collaboration and expertise delivered in a friendly environment.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and financially competent Office Manager to keep the office and company administration running smoothly day to day. The position will be part-time and you will need to be available for a total of 28 hours/week (hours may increase to full-time as the role develops). The successful applicant will work daily between Monday and Friday, with hours to be agreed between 9am and 5:30pm depending on circumstances and need.
We are looking for a proactive candidate who can take responsibility for and manage a range of office duties as well as carrying out routine administrative tasks. Responsibilities will cover the following areas;

• Financial Management – day to day financial administration including the issuing of invoices, routine payments, petty cash management and financial reporting. Helping with forecasting, cash flow projections, budgeting etc.

• General Office Management – handling incoming calls, welcoming visitors, maintaining a great office environment including waste management, cleaning provision, management of stocks & supplies and liaising with the managing agent on buildings issues.

• Health & Safety – ensuring that the company is complying with all of its Health and Safety obligations.

• HR – maintaining employee records including annual leave and sickness. Managing recruitment and appraisal processes. Helping to organise social events.

• Internal Communications – ensuring the dissemination of important company-wide information from Health & Safety information to HR matters and the organisation of company events.

The role will be a varied one and you will need excellent organisational skills as well as the ability to prioritise tasks. You will need to work closely with, and report to, the management team as you develop and implement improved internal processes that cover a broad area of company administration, as listed above. You will have excellent communication skills, a calm efficiency and be able to provide support to the company and its employees on day to day matters.

The role is based in our central Brighton office.
