All Pallets Ltd - is a specialist provider of plastic pallets and plastic boxes to companies within the UK, having sole UK distribution agreements for five of the largest mainland European manufacturers of these products. The company has 20 years of experience offering a range of plastic pallets, and matching clients precise needs to the most appropriate pallets for their application. The company's sales team and Directors, have a total of 105 years’ experience with these specific products, which are the core of the business

Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager, for this privately-owned company based in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

Salary depending upon experience.

Key to this role is first class communication and as such we are flexible in terms of applicate experience. Those with more experience will be expected to ‘hit the ground running’, whilst a graduate will be given the freedom to grow and learn within the role following guidance and training under the Managing Director and wider team.

With a projected turnover for the current year in excess of £16million, (All Pallets Ltd) , is seeking to recruit a PR & Marketing Manager or Assistant to continue the excellent work of the current incumbent. The constant aim being to increase awareness of both the company, it’s high service levels, expertise and products, as we promote plastic pallets as the future for industry, becoming “The UK Voice of plastic pallets”, supported by our “Leave the wood. Go Plastic” campaign, within our target B2B markets.

Clear communication of our key message, is our top priority.

Our new Magento web site has just launched and has combined our current and websites, into one fresh and exciting information source.

Skills Range:

Reporting directly to the MD, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and executing regular email news updates
  • Writing, and pitching Press Releases, relating to products, and case studies, to printed and on-line publications across various sectors
  • Booking, creating and placing advertisements, both on line and in print
  • Updating the new web site, with new products and News Items, plus generally monitoring accuracy of the data – where necessary liaising with the design house
  • Monitoring the company’s AdWords campaign, and SEO
  • Supporting the sales team with PPT presentations for major client presentations
  • Arranging exhibition attendance for the company, from booking through to post exhibition results analysis
  • Working with videographers, from concept inception, through to directing, editing, and ultimate promotion on line, and through the company’s web site
  • Arranging and directing photo-shoots for new products and case studies
  • Producing, and updating product data sheets, and pamphlets
  • Designing, and using external resources, to create a new printed and digital catalogue, which accurately represents the current range, and their specifications
  • Maintaining the brand, and ensuring it is presented in a consistent manner
  • Working with the sales team, to assist wherever possible in the presentation of material requested by clients
  • Analysing clients in terms of industry sector, and then directing PR and Marketing activity towards those sectors which the Directors see as offering growth potential. Likewise, analysing individual products by sales to sector.
Person Specification:

Whilst we will also consider a graduate with the relevant background, experience and excellent communication skills, the ideal candidate will have the following.
Graduates will be given full training in many of the following areas:

  • At least 3 years’ experience with an Agency, but ideally in an in-house position
  • A knowledge of Magento Back Office procedures
  • Strong email marketing experience, and a knowledge of creating and launching campaigns, using Mail Chimp or similar
  • Excellent written communications ability in preparing Press Releases of a technical product, clearly highlighting the advantages and potential applications of the product
  • Experience in developing a good relationship with Editors, and advertising executives, to maximise the effectiveness of the annual advertising budget
  • Knowledge of AdWords and SEO, although outside training would be possible
  • Have experience of working with, and directing videographers and photographers, to bring the finished products in on-time, and on budget
  • A natural flare for design, and various tools including Photoshop
  • The ability to assist the Directors and Senior Sales team with their Linked In profiles, and entries, aligning these with the main core approach
  • Strong budgetary control

Additional Information:

Hours of work. Monday to Friday 8.30-5.30 (5.00 on Fridays), with one-hour lunch break. 20 days holiday per year. On site parking
