Unicorn Training Group is a multi-award winning learning technology provider, who for the last 30 years has provided industry-leading learning solutions combining our Learning Management System, off-the-shelf courses, custom digital courses and games and apps.

Our custom development studio, Unicorn Digital, launched in Brighton last year with a lot of buzz, and is now growing!

Job Description:

Unicorn Digital is growing in Brighton and we are looking for shiny people to be part of our ongoing magical journey.

Brighton based with travel across both of our offices as and when required.

Responsibilities: 

  • Proactively manage projects and act as a central point of contact for clients, directors, and project team members throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist the Sales Team with the proposal of innovative solutions to meet client needs based on our range of digital learning products and services
  • Effectively estimate required resources and engage and manage your hub to achieve key goals and milestones for projects
  • Identify key project tasks, planning and scheduling work to be undertaken by your hub and other peers to deliver projects in line with our process
  • Ensure resource is planned in advance and our resource planner is kept up to date
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is produced and maintained for all projects including project overview, Statement of Work, project plans, reports, meeting notes and project budget trackers, and JIRA tasks in line with proposals
  • Facilitate project meetings, during the project lifecycle, both internally and with clients, visiting client offices as required (predominantly UK but some overseas)
  • Proactively manage changes or movement in scope, identify risks, and devise contingency plans
  • Effectively communicate and continually manage expectations of team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely fashion and hold daily and weekly briefing sessions for your hub
  • Undertake reviews of online solutions produced to ensure that they are ‘fit for purpose’ and meet the Statement of Work
  • Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
  • Attend and actively participate in regular internal project management meetings and team knowledge sharing sessions.

 

 
Skills Range:

Essential:

  • Proven track record of project management within the elearning industry
  • Experienced client management and consultancy skills
  • Excellent face-to-face and written communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Ability to work in a methodical and organised manner, with good time management skills
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (including Word, Excel and MS Project)
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines with a flexible approach where project work demands it
  • Ability to motivate and be a key member of the team
  • Ability to work individually without supervision
  • Conscientious, Self-motivated and proactive
  • Promote a positive working environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to be creative and contribute to informed and innovative ideas
  • Genuine and enthusiastic interest in technology-based learning
  • Good working knowledge of project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA and Confluence.

Desirable/an advantage:

  • Understanding of a learning and development environment
  • Understanding of the Financial Services sector
 
Person Specification:

If you have a minimum of 3 year’s experience of leading and managing projects/programmes within a digital learning agency environment, don't mind travelling and occasional overnight stays, like to listen as well as question, are bold and enthusiastic and committed to delivering great solutions for our clients, please get in touch.
