Project Manager - Major Digital

We wish to recruit an experienced Project Manager to support the day-to-day running of a growing number of client projects. This is a client-facing role so does have an element of account management and support involved. Ideally, we are looking for someone to work between 9:30 - 5:30, but we are also very open to exploring flexible working conditions for the right person.

Employment type
Initially a 3-month contract with the potential to become a full-time position.

Job Description:

Our new Project Manager
Our ideal candidate for this role will have at least 2 years project management experience, an interest in digital/web development and a proven track record in building strong team and client relationships and managing projects proactively and effectively.

Role and responsibilities
Project management

  • To kick-off, plan and manage project timelines and resourcing, ensuring proactive and effective internal communication
  • To scope out project work with clients and key internal resource leads
  • To monitor time coded to projects and alert the team early to any predicted time or scope creep
  • Management and tracking of weekly service-level agreements
  • To review project deliverables to ensure all of the project specifications have been met prior to release
  • To contribute to the development of and review project specification documentation
  • To arrange and manage third-party supplier provisions for the projects you are responsible for

Account management

  • Weekly, fortnightly and/or monthly catch-ups with key clients to keep clients up-to-date on progress towards key project milestones and schedule and manage progress meetings as appropriate
  • To respond promptly to client queries or concerns
  • To inform the team of further business opportunities you identify with existing clients during the course of project work.
  • Scoping out quotes/opportunities to pass to bus dev
  • To assist in the development of project proposals and associated budgets
 
Skills Range:

ESSENTIAL knowledge/experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience
  • Budget and timeline management
  • Budget and timeline development, in a supporting or leading capacity
  • Client communication, in a supporting or leading capacity
  • Internal team briefing, in a supporting or leading capacity
  • Supplier liaison/management
  • Basic knowledge of web development and design processes.

ESSENTIAL skills

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong aptitude for learning new skills and absorbing new information
  • Good relationship-building and management skills
  • Good IT and computer knowledge and skills.

Beneficial skills

  • Experience using the Atlassian suite (Jira, Service desk, Confluence)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
