West Pier Studio is a recognised Brighton based SME who develop high-quality technology and gaming applications. We are currently partnered with one of the world’s leading online gaming companies, as well as the world’s leading construction connector manufacturer.

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active Recruitment & Office Manager who has prior relevant experience in 360 recruitment, particularly games industry recruitment (internal or agency) or other technical recruitment experience.

Recruitment responsibilities:

  • Own the 360-recruitment process - Sourcing candidates for specialist roles, arranging interviews, giving prompt feedback, making job offers and negotiating salaries/day rates
  • Working closely with line managers and company directors, whilst keeping up to date with recruitment trends and external factors that could affect candidate behaviour
  • Recognise candidate experience as top priority in recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Attend university careers fairs to promote West Pier to the graduate recruitment market
  • Develop recruitment strategies for West Pier employer branding, and talent pooling
  • Use social media for effective recruitment advertising (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Glassdoor)
  • Partner with external agencies when necessary

Office Management responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of organising social events inside and outside the studio
  • Support and maintain the culture of our business, consistently adding value to our processes and activities
  • Manage facilities, including security, fire and health and safety processes
  • Frequently meeting with employees on a 1-2-1 basis to provide lines of communication and support
  • Keeping records of office expenditure to maintaining office policies and admin systems
  • General day to day office duties


Skills Range:
  • 360 Technology Recruitment experience (internal or agency) sourcing hard to find candidates
  • A skilled influencer and negotiator, with the ability to think for themselves and make their own decisions
  • Some HR/Employee Relations experience would be highly advantageous
  • Must be highly organised and adaptable
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written
Person Specification:

This is a pivotal role in our business. You will need to be a results driven recruiter with a passion for technology / software recruitment. You are confident in sourcing specialist candidates in permanent, contract and freelance markets. You recognise and thrive at the opportunity of wearing "multiple hats" within a SME technology environment, and happy being the ‘go to’ person in the business. You will be the face of West Pier, welcoming our visitors and ensuring they are looked after, as well as supporting and empowering our people, which will involve maintaining an exciting, appealing and creative environment where people want to work.
