Job Description:

BuzzSumo is the world’s leading content marketing platform, used by over 3500 customers, ranging from publishers like BuzzFeed to Fortune 500 brands like Disney, Google, Ogilvy and IBM.

We’re looking for our first dedicated Senior Product Designer to help us build amazing experiences loved by users. You will play a critical role in shaping the vision for the product and bringing new features to life.

You’ll work within a small, mostly remote team dedicated to bringing valuable content insights to thousands of customers across the globe. BuzzSumo sits within the Brandwatch organisation so you’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with a larger design team there. We're looking for someone with SaaS/web app experience with exposure to both UX and UI.

This role can sit in our Brighton, UK office or remotely within the UK.

You will:

  • Have broad commercial experience working on digital products (ideally web apps / SaaS) focussing on UX design
  • Work closely with our VP of Product to inform and deliver on their vision for the product
  • Be able to synthesize data and research to create user flows, wireframes, information architecture and interface mockups
  • Submit a portfolio that demonstrates excellence in your craft - especially the process that leads to outputs and outcomes
  • Be able to plan, organise and execute all aspects of the design stage from concept to prototype
  • Be conversant with the tools and methodologies used by Product Managers and Technical Architects
  • Understand core design principles (colour, typography, psychology, movement, behaviour)
  • Be able to distil and translate complexity into crisp, modern, accessible, inviting experiences
  • Have experience driving UX design within an agile / lean development environment
  • Document and communicate your work efficiently and effectively

As an added bonus you might:

  • Understand and be conversant with the core design principles in colour, typography, psychology, movement and behaviour
  • Have a passion for data visualisation
