Job Description:

If you love the idea of helping develop the best technical solutions to business challenges, and setting the framework for industry leading website experiences, we've got an exciting opportunity for you here at Pragmatic! You'll work with our business analysts, account managers and development teams to understand and explore our client's requirements, then use your problem-solving and creative approach to technologies to find the right solution. We're WordPress focused, but use lots of technologies to extend and supplement, for example Node, React, APIs,, Progressive Web Apps, Elastic Search and Ionic.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Running and/or inputting into Discovery and Definition meetings to understand client requirements and creating technical solutions that best meets their goal and budget
  • Technical representation at sales stage - presenting ideas and demonstrating Pragmatic capabilities
  • Writing the technical aspects of the Project Initiation Documents that satisfy client needs and are understandable to non-technical staff
  • Writing Technical Specification documents that satisfy client needs and are understandable by the delivery team
  • Breaking down large scale projects into epics for the development team to add more granular technical detail
  • Working alongside the development team to support implementing solutions
  • Contributing to re-scoping and problem solving during sprints
  • Identifying when existing technical solutions exist that may be viable internally or for other clients
  • Producing technical documentation for project onboarding and client handover
  • Identifying potential new work streams through technical understanding of client projects
  • Identifying and presenting technical solutions/possibilities to clients as part of consultancy and business development
  • Estimating projects at Sales stage (ballpark) as well as gathering input from production teams for detailed estimates
 
Skills Range:
  • At least 5 years experience developing and delivering WordPress websites of small to large scale
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to build good relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to gather and assimilate information
  • Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice
  • Ability to be adapt and prioritise
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions
  • Strong presentational skills

We're not expecting everyone to be an expert in all of these things, but we do need people that are hungry to learn!
