Job Description:

The TrailerFarm is looking for a brilliant, creative video game trailer editor, with a proven track record of producing killer cuts that wow viewers. You know how to start fast, end big and capture the authentic essence of a game in under 60 seconds or less. And you can do the business whether you’ve got a fully-boarded concept and CGI to work with, or you’re armed with nothing but a loose brief and a bin full of your own capture. Basically, we want to make the best short-form work around and so do you.

This full-time role is based in our friendly, vibrant studio located moments from the beach in central Brighton where you’ll play your part in helping us serve clients of all sizes from all over the world. How’s your showreel? Get it in front of us.

Skills Range:

What you’ll do:

  • Edit game trailers for a range of different titles, from mobile to console blockbusters
  • Capture awesome gameplay sequences from multiple sources including Unreal, Unity, bespoke engines and so on
  • Undertake versioning to deliver video across multiple platforms, languages, resolutions and formats
  • Make your mark within a friendly team, and work on diverse briefs

Desired skills and experience:

  • Highly creative editing skills
  • Passion for games and entertainment
  • Expert capture, cinematic and camera skills
  • Expert knowledge of non-linear editing systems, Premiere Pro preferred as we are an Adobe suite based studio
  • A strong background in film/video production, creating trailers and promotional material
  • In-depth knowledge of the language of film and a proven understanding of quality camera work, pacing and narrative
  • Able to direct multiple players during game sessions, acting as an in-game director
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to quality
  • Ability to iterate and implement feedback
  • Desire to constantly improve

Bonus points for:

  • Motion Graphics knowledge
  • Previous use of game engines / game development
  • Audio track laying and music editing
