Sofas & Stuff is a dynamic online and offline furniture retailer, looking to achieve exceptional growth and brand awareness over the next 12 months. Despite having 13 brick and mortar showrooms in various locations nationwide, we would like to drive the online side of the business (eCommerce Site).

Job Description:

Sofas & Stuff requires a Front End Developer to join their inhouse dev team, working on our website development and back office systems improvements / projects.

The need has arisen within the S&S head office team, located near Pulborough, West Sussex, for a fantastic Web Front End Developer.

We have a lot we want to achieve so we’re after someone who can single-handedly own our front-end user experience and help us compete with the best.

This role would suit those with several years’ experience of front-end development. Must have recent experience in this area.

Job description:

- Develop the front end of the company’s ecommerce website to a high standard
- Create industry-leading user experiences
- Push the company to adopt latest front end technologies and best practices
- Work closely with the back end developers, marketing team and product owners
- Assist the marketing team in creating attention-grabbing campaigns and landing pages.

- Javascript / jQuery / Ajax
- UX best practice
- Cross-browser development & testing
- Responsive/Mobile-first design
- Website speed optimization
- Git/Version Control

Developer Experience Required:

- Solid experience gained within a similar role
- Have keen personal interest in all things web & mobile technology
- Please provide links to sites/pages that you’ve been solely responsible for

Desirable but not essential:

- Experience of using an eCommerce platform such as NopCommerce, Magento or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
