The Skiff 2.0 – A new space for creative co working

Volleyball Wired Sussex is really pleased to announce that we have formed a partnership with co-working and events space The Skiff supporting their move in to a bigger, better, brighter place at 6 Gloucester Street, right in the heart of Brighton’s North Laine

Jonathan Markwell, founder of The Skiff said "It's fantastic to have the support of Wired Sussex; it wouldn't have been possible to make such a smooth transition to our new space without them.”

The Skiff is built on the co-working philosophy developed by Citizen Space in San Francisco; it takes the best elements of a coffee shop (social, energetic, creative) and the best elements of a workspace (productive, functional) and combines them to give independent workers the chance to have their own, affordable space.

If you are interested in the Skiff, you can find out more or just drop in from 10am – 6pm weekdays.

Wired Sussex Membership – Helping you make money!

Wired Sussex exists for its Members. Over the last few months we upgraded some of the existing member benefits and have added some new great news offerings to our membership package.

One of the biggest concerns for our members is new business and access to funding. We are often asked about accessing funding or if there are grants available to help start-ups, digital or innovative companies. With the recent budget announcements you would be forgiven for thinking that the answer would always be a resounding ‘No’. However, this is not the case! We are connected to national and international organisations that are still able to provide financial support to digital and media companies. Wired Sussex FULL members now includes the opportunity to be alerted to new grants and funding opportunities. Simply log in and subscribe and we will send you a regular round up of funding and grants.

Our Projects Board was created as a way for our members to access new client opportunities or for freelancers to find out about projects. Many new Projects are added every week by companies and individuals looking for companies like yours to provide services to them. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get more work.

"The Wired Sussex projects board is a lifeline for freelancers with a steady stream of projects coming through covering a wide variety of digital requirements" David Lockie, Freelancer.

Anyone from local boutiques to multinational agencies can post project details on the board and as such the projects range from product photography to the build of e-Commerce platforms: what they all have in common is they need help from digital and media experts. To access the details of each project you must be a Wired Sussex member.
