FuseBox Sessions 7 & 8
FuseBox Sessions #7, 13th August, 9am – 11am at the FuseBox
The Fusebox Sessions are fortnightly events focussed on ‘ideas you can use’, which we run as part of our FuseBox24 start-up programme. The events have loads of benefits- even if you aren't in the programme - so we’ve opened up the sessions, making them free of charge to Wired Sussex members.

Session#7:  The Importance of Insight. Stefan Hull from Propellernet will talk about the tools and resources available to startups and small businesses that can help generate data and valuable business insight. If you are looking to know more about your customers, then this session's for you.

Session#8: Re-Building a Business: Pivoting iLaw.  Christina Grzasko will talk about the software company she built, and then pivoted after changes to legal aid provision which threatened to destroy her business.
She worked through the immediate stress, distress and fear to realise the value (and values) of her business, whilst moving it in a new direction. If you have an interest in how and why businesses pivot, then this session is for you.

Helping you connect with what's happening locally.
As well as organising a comprehensive programme of events for our members, we help to support community events and networking groups in the local area.

Did you know there are regular meet-ups on everything including; coding, virtual reality, business development, project management, animation and social media, taking place in the local Sussex area. Why not see if any take your fancy?

Also, if you run (or are thinking about starting) an event or group feel free to get in touch for some advice and support. Make the most of these free services, we can help you get started and spread the word far and wide.

Are you a freelancer?
You may have heard about the research project we undertook last year into the creative, digital and tech sector in Brighton? (If not, you can find details of it here:

Together with the universities of Brighton and Sussex, we are now conducting a further piece of research into freelancers and their communities. We would like you to help us get an accurate view of digital freelancers; we are interested in what you do, what you need and how you work.

The original research project (looking at companies) influenced public policy, underpinned the Brighton City Deal and resulted in multi-million pound funding from government.

We would really appreciate it if you could take the time to fill in this questionnaire. It will take about 20 minutes to complete and will help us ensure that you are understood and supported effectively.

Latest short-term work & project opportunities
A significant benefit of Wired Sussex membership is getting to hear about the latest fixed-term and project work opportunities within the sector, either by networking with other members or by accessing our exclusive projects board.

Anyone - from local boutiques to multinational agencies - can post project details on the board so the projects range greatly, with everything from product photography to e-Commerce platforms builds. However, what they all have in common is a need for help from digital and media experts. To access the details of each project you must be a Wired Sussex member.

Here’s a couple of the latest: Don’t forget you can add your own Project to our board free of charge!

Whether you need an agency to design and develop a website, a freelancer to work on a short term project, or even a business partner for a new venture?  We can help so get in touch!
