SMART Grants for R&D (single business)
– The Smart scheme is looking to support R&D that could potentially stimulate UK economic growth. They have three types of grants available:
Sky Arts Ignition: Futures Fund
Proof of market grant – lasts up to 9 months, offering a maximum of £25k, and covering 60% of total project costs.
Proof of concept grant – lasts up to 18 months, offering a maximum of £100k, and covering 60% of total project costs.
Development of prototype grant- lasts up to 2 years, offering a maximum of £250k and covering up to 35% of total project costs for medium enterprises, or up to 45% for small and micro enterprises. Closing date: Ongoing
- is offering five young artists £30k
each to fund their work for a year. It’s open to practitioners working in one of the following categories: Performing arts, Dance, Music, Visual art, Creative Producing.
To apply, you must be an IdeasTap member aged 18-30. Closing date: 19th December 2012.
Arts Council England grants for individuals and organisations
– This scheme provides grants of up to £100k to artists and arts organisations for activities that benefit people in England. The aim of the programme is to increase opportunities for cultural diversity & make investments in creative talent. Closing date: Ongoing
Convergence in a digital landscape: challenge 3 -
seek projects that investigate the potential of cross-platform analytical metrics and feedback tools designed to help content producers better understand the consumption of their products. Projects can last up to 12 months and are eligible for grants of up to £56,250 or 75% total costs. Total project costs must not exceed £75,000. Closing date: 14th November 2012.
The Digital Innovation Contest – Music
is offering a total of six businesses up to £24k each in funding to develop innovative commercial prototypes around the challenge areas; Rights and monetisation, Digital and live music, Linking digital to physical. Closing date: 8th November 2012.
