Wired Sussex: Digital Newsround

Directory First of all, we would like to welcome Emma Williams to the Wired Sussex team. Emma was previously international business development manager at Linden Lab the company behind the Second Life virtual world. She will be working on a new project for us which helps our member companies grow through innovation.

Talking of Linden Lab, they have announced 30% reductions in their worldwide workforce. We wait and see what that will mean for the Brighton office and the staff employed there.

Gamania are one of Asia’s biggest online gaming companies, employing 1,400 people worldwide. They are currently looking for a European base and we were delighted to tour them round Brighton recently and point out the benefits of choosing this as their home.

You may have seen that iCrossing, who already have their European HQ in Brighton, have been brought by Hearst Publishing, one of the largest media and marketing companies in the USA, for around $385m.

Congratulations to Online PR and Social Media Agency Propellernet who were the winners of 'Best Use of Search' at the 2010 NMA Awards.
