WAVE was a hugely successful launch event bringing together 150 expert digital practitioners and decision makers in Central London in 2017 to debate the latest thinking on social influence, advocacy and engagement with a keynote speech by leading futurologist Brian Solis. Organised by Qubist, the UK's leading employee advocacy solution, the day was designed around the central premise that influencer marketing needs a radical rethink. The new summit explored the future of influence marketing – where brand employees and customers are the new influencers.

150 senior marketers attended WAVE 2017 with standing room only during Brian Solis’s opening keynote speech. During the day, the WAVE hashtag trended for 6 hours generating more than 10 million Twitter impressions and over 1,350 endorsements.

Brands that spoke on the day included: General Electric, Lenovo, Pitney Bowes, BuzzSumo, BrandWatch, We Are Social, Copa90, Bazaar Voice,The Global Marketing Alliance, Universum Global, Wearecrank, ICAEW, Brilliant Noise and Millharbour Marketing Consultancy.

The keynote speaker, Brian Solis, Principal Analyst, Altimeter and best-selling author from San Francisco flew in especially for the event. His provocative speech ‘RIP Influencer Marketing. Welcome to Influence 2.0’ was a great success and set an inspirational tone for the day. Among the many brands who attended were: L’Oreal, Boots, Lego, EY, John Lewis and Suzuki.
