Photo of rugby legend Francois Pienaar kicking a virtual rugby ball in VRMake Real has been working with Investec, the specialist banking and asset management group, to create an engaging VR experience for their booth at 2018 financial tradeshows in Milan - Italy, Orlando, Florida - US and another event later in the year also in the USofA.

The launch event of the experience saw special guest star Francois Pienaar, best known for leading the South African rugby team to victory in the 1995 Rugby World Cup (played by Matt Damon in the film 'Invictus' no less!) join the team on the booth. The experience challenged event attendees to catch a rugby ball, drop-kick it and score a maximum of three goals, using the HTC Vive and VR tracker puck devices.

Make Real worked with local VR PR & Marketing Agency 'Virtual Umbrella', who are specialists in running VR events, to provide onsite setup, operation and breakdown effort to ensure that everything went smoothly. The accuracy and number of drop-kick goals scored by visitors to the booth can not be accounted for however.
