WordCamp Europe Berlin 2019WordCamp Europe is a 2-day conference all about WordPress, which is held in a different European city each year. In 2019 it was held in Berlin, so the Wildheart team thought they’d make the most of it and book a week-long work retreat in the city.

It was the first time Wildheart regulars Guy and Hannah had met their American cousin Ehron in person, so it was a great opportunity to do some team bonding. We stayed in a great AirBnB apartment with designer Russell Hrachovec of Make It Red (http://www.makeitred.co/), and also spent a lot of time with Berlin-resident and pro WP blogger, Nick Schäferhoff (https://twitter.com/nschaeferhoff) while we were there.

Although the intention was to have a week-long work retreat - and we did spend some time at the amazing Space Shack co-working space, as well as the 2 days at WordCamp - we have to say, the rest of the time was basically a beer fest. When in Germany!

If you’d like to find out what WordCamp Europe is like as a first-timer, what our biggest takeaways were from the event, and what the Wildheart team are like in real life - check out Ehron’s post: https://wildheartmedia.com/first-timer-wordcamp-europe-berlin-2019/

Some of the Wildheart team will also be attending WordCamp Brighton (https://2019.brighton.wordcamp.org/) on 16-18 August, so see you there if you’re going!
