The FuseBox is a collaborative R&D hub in Brighton, run by Wired Sussex.

It supports digital entrepreneurs, tech visionaries and creative technologists who want to turn their ideas into successful innovations, by providing access to spaces, facilities, opportunities and expertise.
 

The FuseBox is a very special place which acts as a conduit for talented people with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.

We welcome applications for residences at the FuseBox from individuals, start-ups, small teams, and from those developing new digital products or services at existing businesses who would benefit from access to offsite innovation resources.

Our current focus is to support those working in four core theme areas. These are:

• Immersive: Virtual and Augmented Reality
• Connected: 5G and Internet of Things
• Intelligent: Artificial and Computational Intelligence
• Data: Big Data and Data Visualisation tools
   

Everyone here is navigating the crazy world of bringing their own amazing companies and projects into fruition, but what is so special about the FuseBox is that people really care and have time for others too.

Residencies are subsidised by Wired Sussex and start at £99 + VAT per month (per person). Residencies include:

• Access (on a fair use basis) to the Brighton Immersive Lab and equipment
• Opportunities to learn about and access the 5G Brighton testbed
• Connections and introductions to corporate and academic institutions
• Peer-to-peer support and collaboration with other FuseBox residents
• Advice and guidance from our in-house experts
• Regular meetups, social events, field trips and workshops
• Access to hot desks, meeting rooms, phone/Skype pods
